Digital Journalist

Updated regularly, this site is always worth a visit with regular columns, multimedia features and equipment reviews.

World Press Photos The World Press Photo organisation presents awards annually for the best press photographs and the resulting exhibition travels to over 70 places around the globe. The winning images can be viewed online, providing an excellent opportunity to view the work of some of the world's foremost photojournalists.

Fotophile.com
Fotophile.com is a must for all areas of photography, and includes a long, long catalogue of recommended photojournalism links and book reviews. Recommended web sites include the images of aeroplane bombers taken by Latvian Leon Bessar during the Afghan war (1979 -89); and Asia Society's stunning photo-documentary entitled Fifty Years Inside the People's Republic.

Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography
Situated in Ottawa, is slightly less image-rich online but offers samples of work from a wide variety of exhibitions, including Facing Death: Portraits From Cambodia's Killing Fields; and Diana Thorneycroft's The Body, its lesson and camouflage.

Alinari museum
Preserves vintage images from the 19th and 20th centuries, including glass plate negatives, calotypes, ambrotypes and other photographic processes. Exhibitions includes Photography in One Hundred Years of Italy - a fascinating look back in time.
